No Kings in America
On the heels of the House of Representatives’ approval of a budget proposal that slashes $2 trillion for social programs like Medicaid and raises the debt limit by $4 trillion, the Trump administration will spend up to $45 million on a military parade in D.C. to celebrate Trump’s (and the Army’s) birthday. A self-proclaimed king, Trump wants the country’s attention on him on June 14th.
In response, the No Kings movement is projected to mobilize millions of counterprotesters across the country - everywhere except D.C. No Kings is a “nationwide day of defiance” organized by the people with the core value of non-violent action. The courts and Congress must reclaim their rightful co-equal roles as leaders of the United States government.
These nation-wide counterprotests are the people’s voice. Demand your representatives listen and use their elected power accordingly.
