Oppose Trump's Unfit Cabinet Nominees - McMahon Hearing on 2/13

**UPDATE (02/08/25): The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee will hold a hearing on the nomination of Linda McMahon for Secretary of the Education Department on Thursday February 13th.

As the new Trump administration is about to begin, the Senate is performing its required duty to “advise and consent” on executive branch appointments. This formal confirmation process allows Senators to meet the nominees, ask questions, and decide if they should support or oppose their confirmation. An important check on presidential power, this allows the Senate to reject nominees if they are found to be unqualified or unfit for the job.

After winning the 2024 presidential election, Trump swiftly announced dozens of nominees. Unsurprisingly, many of these nominees are right wing extremists, wholly unqualified for the position, and/or loyalists who will follow Trump instead of the Constitution.
